Our Services

Our services are based on four areas of operation, namely

  1. Orientation
  2. Empowerment
  3. Belonging
  4. Skills development

The purpose of the orientation section is to assess the needs of new members in order to guide them to the appropriate activities and refer them, if necessary.

This is done through :

  • Consultation Meetings
    • Receive all the requests from members and individuals (pre-reception since outside Quebec).
  • Individual Follow-up
    • Meet with an intervention worker to support and accompany them through the various steps.
  • Orientation Service
    • Accompany the person to the appropriate programs and services by keeping the individual involved in the procedure
  • Referral Service
    • Take steps to approach outside resources based on the individual’s needs.
  • Evaluation for Paratransit
    • Service to obtain STM paratransit. Service offered for those with physical functional limitations.

The empowerment section aims to promote the social integration of the members, with the goal of them actively taking part in society.

This is done through different activities, such as :

  • Newcomers Workshop
    • Complete, participatory information session to establish reference points upon arrival in Quebec.
  • Parents Group
    • Meeting to exchange, to share, and to mutually assist all parents.
  • Men’s Group : For’Homme
    • Discussion group to exchange on culture and the experiences of men.
  • Women Without Borders Group
    • Meeting to support, to share, and to mutually assist. Confidentiality and respect are a priority.
  • Re-PAIRE Group
    • Intended for refugees and asylum-seekers. Positive support and sharing.

 

The belonging section aims to allow our members to create new and meaningful connections.

This is done through :

  • Community Testimonies
    • Meetings with involved workers. Discussions about inspiring and diverse paths.
  • Social Pairing Program
    • Create a humane connection, develop a meaningful relationship, and build unity.
  • Socio-Cultural Activities
    • Group outings and activities for members and families. Depending on the season and the program.
  • Montreal Inclusive Summer
    • Leisure activities and activities to explore during the summer. Managed by a team of animators.
  • Coffee Break
    • Informal discussion space to meet new people. Simple and accessible!

 

Finally, the skills development component aims to stimulate the learning of personal, social, motor, linguistic, artistic and antistatic skills of our members.

This is done through trainings and workshops, such as :

  • Adapted Francisation
    • Francization workshop for people living with an intellectual disability. 3-month session (MIFI).

  • Artistic Expression
    • Workshop on expression, affirmation, and the development of abilities through art.
  • Inform’action Workshops
    • Themed workshops to support integration and settlement (health, employment, education, transportation).
  • Coll-ART-borative Projects
    • Artistic and musical projects with cultural partners in Montreal.
  • Fitness Activities
    • Adapted Zumba courses, relaxation therapy, and initiation to adapted karate.
  • Digital Lab
    • Computer and home automation space for workshops and tablet loans.
