All Against Intimidation
Intimidation affects each of us, and anyone can witness or suffer from it at some point. Intimidation can manifest in various ways and in different places, such as at school, in a community or sports center, or any other environment. In every situation, intimidation has serious consequences for those affected. It involves an action, intervention, or remark that threatens, harms, humiliates, or strips someone of their dignity. In cases of intimidation, the targeted individual is under the control of another person or group and finds it difficult to defend themselves. Intimidation is generally characterized by actions, words, or gestures that are:
➤ intentional or unintentional;
➤ repeated;
➤ expressed directly or indirectly;
➤ done with the intent to harm;
➤ carried out in the context of unequal power dynamics.
General Objectives
The project aims to offer an educational space and/or conducive conditions for developing skills with a focus on supporting, preventing, and protecting individuals with disabilities from immigrant backgrounds. The prejudices surrounding these individuals, combined with discrimination related to immigration, make them extremely vulnerable to intimidation and violence. The project also seeks to raise awareness among our members about the intimidation they face and to educate others about the impact of intimidation on people with disabilities.
